It’s the end of the year, so as is tradition we’re looking back at 2025 and remembering some of the highlights.
December is always a reflective time as we recap what we’ve done and decide what to take into the next year. That time between Christmas and New Year is our organization and planning time, where we create a skeleton content calendar, decide on limited edition bundles, and check the dates for all the holiday season. It’s also the time we look at what projects need finishing up and what we want to start in the coming year.
But before all that, we’re looking back at 2025.
(If you prefer to go back further, we’ve done this every year! 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024)
Lyrical Host: 2025 In Review Share on XJanuary – March
After a busy and hectic 2024, we were keen to have a “soft” start to 2025. The first three months involved a lot of planning for the summer and fall, including planning out our resource bundles and working toward launching new projects.
As well as releasing three new stock photo sets, we also updated the Resource Library with a set of Valentine’s themed Canva pin templates, a bumper collection of stock photos, and a PDF on what to ask before hiring an expert.
Here on the blog, We Asked Creators For Their Best Social Media Tips and wrote about Using Your Online Presence As A Force For Good.
April – June
A very late Easter saw the return of Bunnybot, everyone’s favorite virtual chatbot Easter egg hunt! We had over a hundred people hunt the eggs around our website for the chance to win a fun prize.
Here on the blog, Alison created a Photo Shoot List For Bloggers & Influencers (Travel Edition) and we also published a bit of behind the scenes insight with How We Set Goals At Lyrical Host (Swipe Our Style).
In June we launched a brand new limited edition collection of digital resources, titled The Creator’s Bundle, and published a bumper blog post: The Beginner’s Guide To Using & Styling Web Fonts In WordPress.
The Resource Library saw new downloads in the form of Story backgrounds and AI-free content labels and buttons (ideal for highlighting that your content is created by you, not AI).
July
July was a strong writing a publishing month, with How To Create An Awesome “About” Page on the blog and new website pages: What The Heck Does That Mean (& Do I Even Need It?) and Green Hosting.
We also published our own WordPress Video Tutorials and added 60 AI prompts to the Resource Library.
August
We celebrated eight years of Lyrical Host! In addition to upgrading the web space and bandwidth on our plans for free, we also wrote about 8 Things We’ve Learned In 8 Years Of Lyrical Host and added a social media content planner to the Library along with some beach-themed stock photos.

September
We re-ran a contest we did a few years ago: guess how many support ticket replies we’ve done in the history of Lyrical Host. The answer? 257,258 replies (and still counting!)
On the blog, we published an in-depth post on How To Win At Affiliate Marketing In The Current Economy, designed to help people boost their earnings through the end of the year. We also added a new checklist to the Resource Library, designed to help affiliates clean up content and make more money.
October
In October, one of our customers, Kelly, asked us to run a motivation challenge, and we were only to happy to oblige! The Cozy Challenge was born, with a week of straightforward, quick tasks designed to boost your motivation and get things done in a sustainable way.
Over on the blog, a controversial post, Should You Keep Your Hosting & Domain Names Separate?, took center stage. We added a To Do List Tree to the Resource Library, a set of tabbed Google Docs pages to keep you effortlessly organized.
November
Black Friday took over our November, with our one sale of the year starting early and running into early December. November also saw the updated version of the Year In Review workbook (always a popular request!) hit the Resource Library. Meanwhile, the blog saw Creating A Standby Website To Boost Your Income; a guide to being self-sustaining and creating a plan b for whatever may happen.
December
This post (meta!) was published here on the blog, and we added some super fun cut out stickers to the Resource Library.
December saw our biggest team Christmas party to date. One of the team ran a festive wreath-making workshop, and then we went out into the city for some less festive axe-throwing and shuffleboard. It was a fun way to wrap up the year!
